What PropNotice is

PropNotice is monitoring and workflow software. It is not a government agency, law firm, expeditor, architect, engineer or other licensed professional, and it does not provide legal or professional advice. Government records change frequently and public data feeds can be delayed, incomplete or corrected after publication. You must verify critical deadlines, penalties and legal obligations directly with the issuing agency or a qualified professional before acting.

What PropNotice is not

  • It is not a government agency and has no affiliation with, or endorsement from, the City of New York or any of its agencies.
  • It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
  • It is not an expeditor, architect, engineer, or licensed trade professional.
  • It does not file applications, contest violations, appear at hearings, or pay fines on your behalf.
  • It does not certify correction of a violation. Only the issuing agency can accept a certification or close a record.

Data sources and their limits

PropNotice reads published New York City records. Those records are produced by the agencies listed below and are subject to publication delays, retroactive corrections, formatting changes and gaps.

  • HPD — Housing Maintenance Code Violations (wvxf-dwi5), typically updated daily.
  • HPD — Complaints and Complaint Problems (ygpa-z7cr), typically updated daily.
  • DOB — DOB ECB Violations (6bgk-3dad), typically updated daily.
  • DOB — DOB Safety Violations (855j-jady), typically updated daily.
  • DOB — DOB Violations (legacy) (3h2n-5cm9), typically updated daily.
  • OATH — OATH Hearings Division Case Status (jz4z-kudi), typically updated daily.
  • 311 — 311 Service Requests (2020 to present) (erm2-nwe9), typically updated several times per day.
  • DOB — DOB NOW: Build Approved Permits (rbx6-tga4), typically updated daily.
  • DOB — DOB Permit Issuance (legacy) (ipu4-2q9a), typically updated daily.

Where a field is not published by the source, PropNotice displays “Not available from source”. It never estimates, infers or fills in a date, balance, status or deadline.

Deadlines are yours to confirm

Reminders are generated from dates the agency published. If the agency changes a date, does not publish it, or publishes it late, the reminder will reflect that. Before relying on any date shown here — a hearing, a correct-by date, a certification due date or a permit expiration — confirm it with the issuing agency or a qualified professional. Missing a deadline can carry penalties that PropNotice cannot reverse and is not responsible for.

AI-generated summaries

Where enabled, PropNotice may show a plain-language summary and suggested next steps generated by an AI model. These are clearly labelled, are informational only, and are always shown alongside the underlying official record. They are not legal or professional advice and may be incomplete or wrong. Organization administrators can disable AI features entirely.

Internal status is not official status

Marking work complete inside PropNotice — including completing a work order in the field — updates your internal workflow only. It has no effect on the government record. An official status changes only when the agency publishes that change and PropNotice observes it in a subsequent sync.
